How It Works

2. Pay the $25 deposit
This holds your spot and applies directly to any purchases. No purchases, no worries. Unless your booking was made for advice, we’ll give you a $25 Gift Card at the end of your appointment.
3. Help us help you

What if I need to cancel?
Life happens. Cancel at least 24 hours in advance and we’ll refund your deposit in full. Less than 24 hours, we’ll keep it as a store credit. To cancel, use the contact form on our About page or call the store at (919) 560-3444.
What activities can you outfit me for?
We specialize in preparing customers for pursuits in hiking, trail running, backpacking, climbing and paddling, not to mention camping, RV’ing and epic road trips. We know most about NC destinations but can advise customers on many North American adventure destinations.
Can I bring someone with me?
Absolutely. Bring a friend, partner, or your whole hiking crew. Just keep in mind it’s a 45-minute window.
What if I don’t buy anything?
No pressure to buy. Your $25 deposit becomes store credit that you can use anytime, unless you booked the time for general advice in which case we will apply the deposit as a fee for our service.
Do I need to know what I’m looking for?
Nope. “I need gear for a thing” is a perfectly valid starting point. That’s what we’re here for.
